The 2016 Spring CLE Series

The Mindfulness in Law Program’s Spring 2016 CLE Series offers legal professionals three mindfulness workshops to learn about, deepen, and immerse in the practice of mindfulness, while exploring ways of bringing it into their lives, personally and professionally. These programs are tailored to offer a comprehensive introduction to mindfulness, along with insights and exercises that bring the practice to life. The series includes discussion of neuroscience research findings on mindfulness as a vehicle relieving stress, enhancing focus and concentration, and cultivating greater resilience. Engaged discussion connects the art and science of mindfulness with the real world life of the lawyer and legal professional.

An Introduction to Mindfulness and the Practice of Law

This half-day mindfulness workshop offers participants a deeper immersion into the practice of mindfulness. Open to beginners as well as advanced practitioners, the workshop will explore mindfulness from a primarily experiential perspective. Conversation and dialogue (on mindfulness, the science of mindfulness, and the integration of mindfulness into legal practice) will mark jumping off points so that the experiential practice of mindfulness may inform a more complete appreciation of its benefits, personally and professionally—and support an intention to develop a daily practice.
